The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is the uniformed volunteer component of US Coast Guard. Founded in 1939 by an Act of Congress as the US Coast Guard Reserves and re-designated the Auxiliary in 1941. The 28,000 volunteer members support the Coast Guard in non-law enforcement missions such as:

  • Actively provides safety patrols on area waterways
  • Search and rescue missions
  • Marine environmental protection.
  • Vessel Safety Checks
  • Present safe boating courses
